The IDJ is the main scientific publication of the FDI. It features peer-reviewed, scientific articles relevant to international oral health issues and has a rapidly increasing impact factor (Currently 0.90 against 0.53 in 2004 – Journal Citation Reports, Thomson ISI, PA, USA).

The journal also includes practical, informative articles aimed at clinicians. It is illustrated in full colour.
